Sonia Roselli Water Balm Review

We’ve been on the hunt for a few new products to incorporate into our skin prep routine for both our personal use as well as in our kit for quite some time. There are so many brands and products out there that it can be really overwhelming trying to figure out what’s best for your skin type or if it’s a product you should be using, let alone knowing if it will work for you.  Skin care gets pricey quick, especially with having to buy multiple products to achieve the results you are looking for.

We get it and trust us when we say look no further, Sonia Roselli’s Water Balm Skin Prep is where it’s at! Haven’t heard of it before? Let us introduce you…

Professional artists and consumers alike are raving over Water Balm.  It is a 5-in-1 multi purpose gel crème that promises to moisturize your dry, dehydrated skin.

What Exactly Does it Do?

It can be used as a moisturizer, toner/serum, day or night cream and even as a makeup primer. Who doesn’t love that?!  Water Balm works to plump up fine lines, smooth skin and minimize the appearance of pores. It’s like having a snapchat filter in real life! Uhhh...yes, please! #Bombshell.  Water Balm uses a “Water Bead” technology to deliver its amino acid and antioxidant rich hydration. A little really does go a long way, depending on your skin's needs, a nickel sized amount is all you’ll need to start. Don’t believe us? Will it Really Work For Me?

While we know everyone’s skin reacts to products differently and there really is no holy grail product that works for EVERYONE, we certainly do love and recommend it! From experience we know that this is a phenomenal product for a large range of skin types, in fact, it has now become a staple in our professional makeup kits.

Water Balm was created by Sonia Roselli, a Chicago based makeup artist, who after years of working in bridal decided to focus on bringing her clients vision of amazing skin care to life.  It’s important to mention that there are no chemical colors or fragrance, only a hint of rosewater. A Few Tips From The Pros!

We love discovering new products and we love even more that we can now share them with you! Here are a few of our favorite ways to use Water Balm:

  •     Wear it alone for a fresh, dewy look. Pair clean hydrated skin with your favorite lip color and go kick some ass!

  • Mix it into your foundation for a lighter, dewy finish. You can sheer out those heavy foundations using Water Balm for a more BB/CC style application with the same longevity as your traditional foundation alone.

  •     Turn a powder into a gel. Scrape out a little of your favorite blush and mix it with Water Balm. You now have a lightweight gel crème blush that will give you a more flawless finish rather than the powdery look of traditional pressed powders.

  • Don’t forget your lips! After exfoliating with your favorite lip scrub, add a small amount of Water Balm and let it soak in. Extra Points if you apply before bed. You will love waking up with baby soft lips.

You can purchase your own Water Balm to try here!
